The Relationship Between the Freedom of Information Act and Local Government Presented by Attorney Joseph Zullo on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m.
Attorney Joseph Zullo will speak on the relationship between the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) and local government.
Attorney Zullo will give an overview of the Freedom of Information Act (FOI), how to make FOI requests, and what you will receive. He will discuss the benefits derived, as well as the obstacles that arise because of sunshine laws.

Attorney Joseph Zullo is a partner with his father Alfred Zullo in the private general law practice of “Zullo, Zullo, and Jacks” in East Haven and also serves as corporation counsel for the Town of East Haven.Attorney Zullo graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 from Providence College, in Rhode Island, with a B.S. in Political Science. He went on to study law at Quinnipiac University in the school’s night division and graduated with honors in 2011 as the recipient of the CATIC Foundation Award for his mastery of the areas of property law and real estate law. He was successful in his first sitting for the bar exam in July of 2011 and was sworn into the Connecticut Bar in November of that year.In November of 2011, at 26 years old, he was appointed by Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. as the youngest Town Attorney in East Haven’s history and has served in that capacity for the last five years.
