Christine’s Critters – Weds. June 19 at 2pm

For our kick-off celebration of A Universe of Stories, our Summer Reading Program for kids, we are happy to welcome Christine’s Critters back to the library. This special event is open to everyone who registers for the Summer Reading Program.

Owls and other raptors, as well as lizards, turtles, and other reptiles, will be here when Christine’s Critters visits on Weds. June 19 at 2 p.m. Christine takes in injured and/or orphaned hawks, owls, falcons, and eagles and, after rehabilitation, whenever possible, returns them to the wild for a second chance at life. For those birds of prey unable to return to the wild due to their injuries, permanent homes are found at nature centers to become educational ambassadors.

The program is free and recommended for age 4 and up. You need to register for the Summer Reading Program starting on Weds. June 12 to pick up your ticket for this event. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up early!
