The Hagaman Memorial Library Reopens Further on Tuesday, June 8, 2021

The Hagaman Memorial Library, 227 Main Street, is happy to announce that we will be opening further as of Tuesday, June 8 at 10:00 a.m. Access to the library building and most library services will be restored.

The Library’s service hours as of June 8, 2021 are below.

 -Monday, Friday, and Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm.  The library will be open Saturdays through June 26, 2021 and then will be closed Saturdays starting July 3- September 4, 2021.  The library will reopen on Saturday starting September 11, 2021 

-Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday:  10 am – 8 pm 

Patrons will be able to reenter the library building without appointments to browse library shelves, check out books, access public computers, printers and photocopiers, and attend library programming, which will be both within the library building and on the grounds of the library building.

The meetings of outside community groups in the library building will resume in July, 2021.

In order to safely offer in-person services, there are health and safety guidelines.  Inside: Vaccinated patrons are no longer required to wear masks; Unvaccinated teen and adult patrons are still required to wear a face mask over the nose, mouth and chin at all times in the building; and it is highly recommended that children under the age of 12 wear a face mask in the building. Outside: Face masks are not required outdoors on the library grounds.

Patrons may bring their own beverages into the library building when attending an on-site library program, or an outside organization meeting. We simply ask that patrons please not leave a mess and take water bottles and other beverage bottles with them when leaving the library.

Reopening guidelines will be reviewed at each meeting of the Library’s Board of Trustees and revised as needed.

Donations of books and other items are not being accepted at this time.

Contactless library services will remain in effect for those people who prefer this:  curbside pickup of materials, library card sign-up online via the Library’s website:, virtual library programming, reference services via phone or e-mail, and the outside public Wi-Fi network.

Contactless online materials are available on the Library’s Website 24/7,  With their library cards patrons have free access to eBooks, emagazines, audiobooks, music, streaming video, online research, and much more.
