Homebound Services

The Hagaman Memorial Library’s homebound program serves East Haven residents who are unable to visit the library in person due to a permanent or temporary mobility or vision impairment.

Our partnership with SARAH Inc. of Branford allows a driver and a client from the organization to deliver and pick up library materials every Tuesday and two Thursdays per month between 10:00am and 12:00pm. You may opt to receive deliveries once or twice per month.

You may call the library on Thursday or Friday between 9:30am and 1:00pm at 203.468.3890 to order materials. Elaine or Cynthia can fulfill requests for specific items, or recommend titles you may enjoy.

Our extensive collection includes novels of all genres, biographies, nonfiction books on all subjects, movies on DVD and VHS, music cds, audiobooks plus large print and paperback formats.  If we don’t own something, we can arrange to borrow it from another library, or purchase the item.

You may borrow up to 15 items at a time. The items you borrow will be due back on your next scheduled delivery date.

To register for the service, please print and complete our registration form and mail it to the library. Questions? Call Cynthia or Elaine at 203.468.3890.
