Imagine your Story! Summer Reading Program for Kids
Summer Reading Program from Kids of All Ages
It will be a very special kind of summer, one we’re all sure to remember forever!
Although “in person” programs will not be meeting for awhile longer, we continue our Hagaman summer tradition of daily events for kids of all ages, detailed on the calendar section of this website, as well as on https://www.facebook.com/hagamanlibrary/. Our theme this summer is Imagine your Story!
We’ll have stories of every description, origami and crafts, cool tunes with Robert Messore, kids’ yoga class, an international online puppet festival with workshops, animal programs, virtual nature walks to inspire your outdoor explorations, bedtime stories/lullabies, Lego adventures and contests, and lots of other fun activities. Our teen librarian has some intriguing virtual programs for middle and high school students that you’ll learn about on Facebook and ReadSquared.
We’re excited about a new development: Kids and families will be able to track all their reading easily on ReadSquared at http://hagamanlib.readsquared.com/, where they’ll be rewarded for having fun reading books, listening to audiobooks, writing reviews, sharing your own stories, attending events, and even liking our Facebook page! You’ll earn points towards a wide range of raffle prizes, from gift cards for pizza, ice cream, and a grand prize of $50.
Our Summer Reading Program runs from Monday, June 22 to Friday, August 7. Be sure to sign up for your own personal site on ReadSquared. We’ll continue to update the calendars with all of the new events. So fire up those imaginations! It’s going to be an amazing year.
