Meditation for Wellness Presented by Christine Ucich of SunDo International-Wednesday, January 31 at 6:30 p.m.
Local meditation and yoga teacher, Christine Ucich, leads an exploration in using breath meditation as a way of caring for the body and mind. The latest research tells us it’s possible to influence the mind through meditation, and now, studies also show that breathing is also an important part of any self-care routine.
Participants will have an opportunity to compare focused vs. non-focused types of meditation, learn how stress can be managed with meditative breathing and practice aligning the breath with the natural rhythms of the cardiovascular and nervous system.
SunDo is a Taoist meditation and yoga practice which offers educational workshops as well as supporting practice centers around the world.
